About Us
The Record Machine is an independent record label based in Kansas City, Missouri. Mike Russo, Richard Robinett and Nathan Reusch founded TRM in 2003 when they released their first record for the James Dean Trio. Since then, the label has worked with several bands from around the U.S. (State Bird, the Winston Jazz Routine, Max Justus, Sam Billen, Caleb Winn, Interstates, The Parade Schedule, Interstates, Capybara, Of Asaph, The Billen Brothers, Cheyenne, Every Gentle Air, Colonel Rhodes, And James Dean Trio). Our desire is to make an organic community of artists and help them find listeners. Every month we have a free song of the month by a band on the label. In 2009 we are attempting to release 10 new records from several different artists to be our busiest year yet.
