The Record Machine

The Winston Jazz Routine have returned from tour. The tour was a sucess. Thank you if you made it out to one of the shows. They played some great shows with Husband and Wife, State Bird, Minus Story, Darling at Sea, Olympic Size, Comrade, Homer Hicolm and The Rocket Boys and probably others I am leaving out.Their new record is slated for a May release. We are really excited for you to be able to hear some of the new songs.

Every Gentle Air has been getting some nice press. AP Magazine(Fall Out Boy is on the cover) was nice enough to review Part 2. They gave them 4 out of 5 stars and called it “Inventive, creative, and never lacking in left turns.”

State Bird is working on their follow up to their self released Marching Thru The Wilderness.
They have been getting great reviews for Marching. Check out new reviews at Silent Uproar and Neufutur. Everything we have heard about the new record only makes us more excited for it.

The Pitch Weekly and Jason Harper were nice enough to comment on us for their hopes for the new year. Hopefully we will finally put out a another KC band in 2007.

Every Gentle Air was released last week. We are asking for your help in promoting the record in exchange for a copy of it and some other little goodies. We are wanting to make a video for every song on the album. We have some that are being lined up right now but we are going to need your help. If you have an idea please send it to ega@therecordmachine.net. If you would like to hear the album so you can decide which song to make a video for go to www.therecordmachine.net/everygentleair and pick one out and then send us an email. If you are not interested in making a video you can head over and pick up the long awaited release at the TRM store. We are running a special on it where if you buy “Part 2″ and The Winston Jazz Routine’s “Realization LP” you get them both for only $16 or each for $10. Also State Bird’s self released debut “Marching Thru The Wilderness” is now available.

The Every Gentle Air record is being made as I type this. It will be available for pre-order in a few weeks but until then you can listen to the entire record here. Also the samplers are on the way so they should be available later this week for one dollar in the online store or they will come free with Every Gentle Air preorders.

We also put up the tentative dates for Cheyenne’s summer tour. If you are able to help promote the shows in anyway let us know. We would love to make fliers or anything you want to help promote the shows.

We will also be at the Cornerstone Music Festival this July. Both Cheyenne and The Winston Jazz Routine will be playing. If you are at the fest please come find our booth and say hi.

We are really exicted to tell you all about the upcoming sampler from us and our good friends Lujo Records and Redder Records. It has has new and unreleased tracks from all of our bands. We will have it available for free with orders of the upcoming Every Gentle Air cd, or for 1 dollar with other records.

The Record Machine are proud to welcome Every Gentle Air to the label. If you see their pictures on the left you may recognize Nate from The Winston Jazz Routine. This is a project that he collaborated with many of friends over last winter. We have a few of the songs in the online player and as it gets sooner to the release date we will hopefully have an e-card streaming the whole record for you. We haven’t figured out what the release date is for the record just yet. But it shouldn’t be too long.
