State Bird has a new myspace. Because of some issues with the old State Bird myspace the band has decided to start a new myspace which is located at www.myspace.com/statebirdmusic. Please add them as your friend. Also go and listen to their new song entitled Pear Tree for the Murkville Comp. They are also leaving for a short midwestern tour shortly so be prepared for some new goodness as they will be playing songs from their upcoming record which they are working on.

The Winston Jazz Routine have returned from tour. The tour was a sucess. Thank you if you made it out to one of the shows. They played some great shows with Husband and Wife, State Bird, Minus Story, Darling at Sea, Olympic Size, Comrade, Homer Hicolm and The Rocket Boys and probably others I am leaving out.Their new record is slated for a May release. We are really excited for you to be able to hear some of the new songs.
Every Gentle Air has been getting some nice press. AP Magazine(Fall Out Boy is on the cover) was nice enough to review Part 2. They gave them 4 out of 5 stars and called it “Inventive, creative, and never lacking in left turns.”
State Bird is working on their follow up to their self released Marching Thru The Wilderness.
They have been getting great reviews for Marching. Check out new reviews at Silent Uproar and Neufutur. Everything we have heard about the new record only makes us more excited for it.
The Pitch Weekly and Jason Harper were nice enough to comment on us for their hopes for the new year. Hopefully we will finally put out a another KC band in 2007.

The Record Machine is proud to welcome State Bird to our roster of artists. They released their first record this summer called “Marching Thru The Wilderness”. You will be to purchase it real soon from our online store. It is a debut album full of hallucinogenic folk meanderings laced with hallelujah interludes and sparkling mantras. They are going on a west coast tour in October/November. You can check all the dates on the calendar. They also will be working on a release for the label that should come out sometime next year.
