This month’s song of the month is the debut of The Parade Schedule on the site. The Parade Schedule is Matt Kinder and a revolving cast of musicians. As The Parade Schedule Kinder crafts classic sounding folk songs that feature his soothing baritone voice and guitar with just the right amount of backing instrumentation to fill out the songs. Some songs on his debut Trees To Be Cut, Seeds To Be Planted feature as many as 16 people singing harmonies. For the song of the month he gives us his track Old. The Parade Schedule will be playing shows across the midwest this fall.
July 18 Kansas City, MO at The Not So Secret Record Machine House show at Bryce Olson’s House with State Bird and Max Justus
July 19 Kansas City, MO at The Czar Bar with David Bennett and Margo May and the Honeybabes
July 26 Louisville, KY at Old Louisville Coffee House
July 28 Louisville, KY at Skull Alley with Deer Meet and Spirit and Dust
Aug 1 Louisville, KY at Derby City Espresso with Perhapsy
Aug 2 Bloomington, IN at The Pourhaus Cafe with Perhapsy and Heavy Hometown

Their debut Seeds To Be Planted, Trees To Be Cut will be released in September.

Our good friends Capybara have only been a band for a few short months but they have already recorded their first full length Try Brother. They find themselves at a convergence of indie rock styles. Not afraid to try on one sound or another but doing it in such way to make it their own. At times you find them touching on sounds that are more delicate and other times you find them full of energy. It is exciting to hear a band being this dynamic and energetic at such an early point in their career. Keep your eyes out for them in your city because they have already been out on tour and plan to be out more this summer and fall. Enjoy The Wimp from Try Brother and head over to their website and grab the rest of the album while you still can.

This month’s song comes from Atlanta’s hip hop duo TSD. For a long time I have wanted to use this feature to promote friends that aren’t on Record Machine. When my friend Aree sent me some songs from TSD I knew the timing was perfect to unleash them as the song of the month. Here is their bio:
TSD is a collaborative duo made up of vocalist/musician Movement and producer Source One. Based out of Atlanta, they crossed paths – whether by chance or destiny – in 2004 and began exchanging musical tastes, beats, and life experiences since. Movement, a songwriter, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist, paints audible portraits of pop music, dub, rap, and r&b into one bucket of creativity and energy, while Source One outlines the canvas and fills in the details with the art of sampling, sound-manipulation, and glitch layering. In their eyes, sound has no boundaries and neither do they. Together, the two combine their love and passion for good music into, what they call, “future crunk.”
If this is what the future holds I want to be on this dance floor.

In case you skipped going to the front page of the website you should return to it and stream the entire new Perhapsy record. It is only going to be up for a limited time so check it out while you can.
Perhapsy – Perhapsy: Full Album Stream
Also earlier this month we shared some Cobra songs for our Song of the Month and I couldn’t help but repost Cobra’s most recent song. It is the original version of one my favorite State Bird songs “I Don’t Luv U Anymore”. He also gives an update that he is almost finished recording the Cobra record and that State Bird is working on their new record. Remember to keep checking his blog for more songs.
